Trish Clark

Trish Clark was a nurse in Calgary for over 40 years, including 30 years in Palliative care. As a Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist, she worked with patients and their families in various settings. This included Homecare, Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Acute Care Hospitals, and Hospice. Her expertise included symptom management, family counselling, and education. Although front-line clinical care was always her primary focus and first love, next was building palliative nursing teams through education and clinical support. Skill in working with teams and strength in communication have proven to be transferable to her post-retirement life. After spending all that time in the real world of Palliative Care, Trish found a new passion in community theatre and playwriting. She has had the opportunity to work with numerous theatre groups in the past few years, most recently, Workshop Theater (Prescription Murder”), Dewdney Players ( Dotty in “Noises Off”), Senior’s Acting Lab (Another Dottie in“Old Mule”), Workshop Theatre( Role Of Lena “Escaped Alone”) &Confederation Theatre ( Role of Ruth“Opening Night”). She has had three short plays make the transition from page to stage.”Join the Senior’s Brain Trust” in 2023 for FLCacting, ” In Hot Water “ performed at the Calgary Regional One Act play festival 2024. And “Falling Down,” which she wrote and performed at the 2025 One-Act Play Festival, winning an Outstanding Performance Award. She is a member of the Calgary Raging Grannies, where she plays a different role Participating in Social ACTivism. She considers herself fortunate to have travelled the world extensively over the last few decades. This is always excellent learning, with the best lesson being how lucky she is to live in Canada. She is fortunate to have a husband who is supportive of her theatre passion, three great sons & daughter-in-law, and one amazing grandson. Family members frequently attend her performances.
